Role: Technical System Analyst – Tester 

Location - Wakad, Pune (100% Onsite) & Client Location in UK 

Work Timings – As per UK Shift 

Type: Fulltime/Permanent 

Salary: 2.5 to 4 LPA 

Experience: 1 to 2 years 

Education: BCS, IT Degree is preferred

Job Description: 

We are looking for an experienced 1 to 2 years in manual and automation tester, who should be analysing user stories and/or use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility, executing all levels of testing, designing and developing automation scripts, detecting and tracking software defects and inconsistencies, and interacting with clients to understand product requirements and knowledge of test plan writing. 

Responsibilities: 

1. Analysing User Stories and Requirements: Reviewing and understanding user stories, use cases, and requirements to ensure they are valid and feasible from a testing perspective. This involves grasping the functionality and scope of the software to be tested. 
2. Manual and Automation Testing: Conducting testing at all levels, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing. You should be skilled in both manual testing techniques and automated testing tools. 
3. Designing and Developing Automation Scripts: Creating automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks and tools. Automation helps in improving testing efficiency and repeatability. 
4. Defect Detection and Tracking: Identifying and reporting software defects, inconsistencies, and issues encountered during testing. You'll need to document these defects and work with the development team to ensure they are resolved. 
5. Client Interaction: Communicating with clients or stakeholders to understand product requirements, gather feedback, and address any testing-related concerns. Clear communication is crucial to ensure alignment with the client's expectations. 
6. Test Plan Writing: Creating comprehensive test plans that outline the testing scope, objectives, strategies, and resources required for the project. 

 

Desired Candidate: 

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 
2. Testing Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. This experience should cover various types of testing, such as functional, regression, and integration testing. 
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks for automated testing. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is essential for automation script development. 
4. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills are necessary to interpret user stories, identify potential issues, and design effective test cases. 
5. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for uncovering hidden defects and ensuring the software meets the specified requirements. 
6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for interacting with team members, clients, and other stakeholders effectively. 
7. Domain Knowledge: Depending on the projects you'll be involved in, having domain knowledge in specific industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce) can be advantageous. 
8. Problem-Solving Abilities: Being able to troubleshoot issues and work collaboratively with developers to resolve defects efficiently. 
9. Time Management: Effective time management to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
